10 medals for talented swimmer

Mea van Rooyen (Year 9) competed in the Sasol National Winter Swimming Championships in South Africa over the July break. It was an extremely successful event for Mea, who won 8 Gold medals and 2 Silver medals. Her 8 Gold medals were for the 14-year-old Girls 200m Individual Medley, 200m Backstroke, 200m Breaststroke, 100m Breaststroke, 100m Backstroke, 100m Butterfly and 50m Breaststroke. Mea’s silver Medals were for the 14-year-old Girls 100m Freestyle and 50m Freestyle.
