PPTA strike on Tuesday

The PPTA has confirmed further strike action as a result of negotiations over the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement. The nature of this action will be a withdrawal of all labour, on a rolling schedule, related to year levels.

The first of these will be on Tuesday 4 June and affects Year 9 students. There will be no scheduled classes for Year 9 students this coming Tuesday, and you are advised to keep your daughter at home. We are unable to provide cover for those Year 9 classes, however there will be supervision available at the school for those who are unable to remain at home. Year 9 students unable to remain at home should report to the library no later than 8.45am.

For Year 10-13 students, classes will run as per usual (Day 5) on Tuesday 4 June.

Unless otherwise informed, the remainder of the strike days will be:

Tuesday 11 June – Year 10 students to remain at home

Tuesday 25 June – Year 11 students to remain at home

Tuesday 2 July – Year 12 students to remain at home

We will send reminder emails nearer the time and notification if things change.
