Student wins top Art Award

Clarisse Esguerra (Year 13) won 1^st Place in the prestigious Wallace Secondary Schools Art Awards with her painting called “Swimming in rubbish is so fun and fresh lol”. The Wallace Secondary Schools Art Award has been running for 8 years and is considered to be one of New Zealand’s prestigious Art events for students. Secondary school students from across New Zealand entered their Photographic, Print, Sculpture, Painting or Drawing art work and from the all the entries, 22 Finalists were selected. From these 22 finalists, Clarisse’s painting was chosen by the judges as the top Secondary School artwork.
