The annual Auckland College Sports Awards were held in mid-November and seven Westlake students received accolades for their sporting successes. There are 110 schools eligible to put nominations forward in the various categories and the College Sport panel then selects three finalists in each sporting code or category and an overall winner. The Westlake students that won awards are pictured below and their achievements are: Emme Shearer (Basketball finalist and Volleyball finalist), Jessica Lane (All-rounder winner for Athletics, Cross Country and Netball), Kaia Tupu-South (Athletics winner), Elys Ventura (Tennis finalist), Kaila Ru-Tearoiti (Volleyball finalist), Tamara Otene (Volleyball winner) and Vivian Yang (Tennis winner). Vivian is absent from the photo as she was at an Overseas Tennis Tournament).
