Changes to timetable Week of 2 November

This week is a big week for our school, with a few changes to the timetable that you need to be aware of.

Firstly, it is the last week of timetabled classes for our senior students before they go on study leave in preparation for their NCEA exams.

Monday (2nd) and Tuesday (3rd) will be ‘normal’ timetabled days.

On Wednesday 4 November we will be holding our Special Awards Ceremony, so it will NOT be a late start.  All students (Junior and Senior School) are expected to be in their Form Class for 8:45am.  From there, students will walk up to Westlake Boys High School (WBHS) and attend the Ceremony which starts at 10am. All students should be wearing their school blazer for this formal event.  After the Special Awards Ceremony, at approximately midday, students will be released to go home for the afternoon.

We do not have many opportunities to get the whole school together, so this is an extra special occasion.  We will be celebrating the wide-range of opportunities our students receive through our extra-curricular programmes, and we will be announcing the Prefects and Tuakana for 2021.

On Wednesday evening we will be holding our Senior Academic Prize-Giving in the WBHS auditorium.  This event starts at 7pm.  All WGHS students (and parents) are welcome to attend to support and celebrate the academic achievements of their peers.

Thursday 5 November is a ‘normal’ timetabled school day.

On Friday 6 November school is closed. There will be no classes on site.  Students are encouraged to prepare for their NCEA or Junior exams
