Teacher-only Day
Next Thursday, 19 November, will be a Teacher-only Day for secondary schools across Auckland, including Westlake Girls. The day is for staff to learn more about the proposed NCEA changes. All Year 9 and 10 students do not have to attend school on this day as there are no scheduled classes. Any Year 11, 12 or 13 students with a scheduled NCEA examination should come into school for their examination as per normal.
Exams in the event of an Auckland lockdown
The Ministry of Education has determined that NCEA exams can continue if a Level 2 or Level 3 lockdown occurred over the next four weeks in Auckland, and we are prepared for that scenario.
Exams would not be held at Level 4 lockdown. If Auckland’s level changes at any time, we will send you comprehensive details of what will be required.
