Westlake Winners

Nine placings at Future Problem Solving (FPS) Nationals

17 Westlake students were selected to attend the future Problem Solving Nationals held in early November and the students performed very well, winning 9 Top 3 Placings. For the Onsite Scenario Writing Competition Sarah Penny (Year 11) was 1st and Natalija Hayes (Year 11) was 2nd . In the Senior Scenario Writing Natalija Hayes was 2nd and Sarah Penny 3rd .In the Global Issues Problem Solving (GIPS) Middle Individual grade, Sophie Dykgraaf (Year 10) was 1st and Kenzie McKay (Year 9) was 3rd. In the GIPS Senior Individual grade Abbie Clements (Year 11) was 2nd. In the GIPS Middle Team competition, the Westlake Green team was 3rd. In the GIPS Senior Team competition, the WGHS Diamond team was 1st. Sophie Dykgraaf and the Senior Diamond Team have been invited to 2020 FPS International Competition which are going to be held in Amherst, Massachusetts (USA), and it is likely that some of the other Westlake place getters will also be invited to attend.

Open Evening

Open Evening for students wanting to enrol at Westlake Girls for 2025

We will hold an Open Evening for those considering enrolling at Westlake Girls in 2025 on Tuesday, 23 July. There will be a brief talk at 4 pm and repeated at 6 pm in our Event Centre. These talks will then be followed by guided tours of the school. All are welcome. No need to book; just come along.
