Study Skills Evening next Monday, 9 August

On Monday 9 August, WGHS is holding two Study Skills events – one for students in Years 9-11 during the day, and one for senior students and parents/caregivers in the evening.

Evening Event

It is our pleasure to invite you and your daughter to the evening event, from 7 – 8.30pm. While the talk is aimed at senior students, it is open to all Year Levels.

The evening session will feature Karen Tui Boyes, CEO of Spectrum Education Ltd. She is a lively and engaging speaker, known for her entertaining and practical presentations.

An author and the creator of Teachers Matter Magazine, Teachers Matter Conference, Kids Matter Conference, Study Smart Workshops and Habits of Mind Bootcamp, Karen brings with her a wealth of knowledge on effective teaching, learning, study skills and motivation.

The session will offer students key study tips to help them prepare for their upcoming exams, and show parents how to support their teens through the stresses of exam preparation.

You don’t need to RSVP for this event – just come along. Students do not need to wear their uniform. We are hoping to hold this session in our new Event Centre, and will confirm the venue by email later this week.

We look forward to seeing you.
