Westlake Girls encourages enthusiastic volleyballers to try the beach version if they can. The main competitions for Beach Volleyball are the New Zealand Secondary Schools Championship for Year 11-13 in early February and the Auckland Secondary School Champs are held in early December.

TRAINING:

North Harbour Beach Volleyball Centre in Mairangi Bay offers students the opportunity to learn the game and then excel at it. It is played every Tuesday and Thursday between these dates:
Term 1 starting from 31st January to 4th April. Term 4 starting from 18th October to 20th December. Students register independently. Link: https://shorturl.at/einoR

New Zealand Secondary Schools Beach Volleyball Championship – 3 -4 February – Mt Maunganui – Entries close 10 January
Junior North Island Secondary School Championship – 26 November – Harbour Beach Volleyball Centre – 26 November
Auckland Junior and Senior Championship – TBC
NB: Students will require parental supervision at these events.
