The Westlake Girls High School PTA (Parent and Teacher Association) is a group of parents who assist the school by running a Welfare Fund and the Second-Hand Uniform Shop. It is currently led by Tracey Smith and new members are always welcome. For enquiries email here.
The Second Hand Uniform shop is in Room B8 (look for the signs or come to reception at Admin for directions).
It is open every Friday from 12:25 pm – 1:15 pm.
Please note, we accept EFTPOS but no credit cards, cash or bank deposits.
We can sell your uniform on your behalf. Please complete the online form in the link above then drop the uniforms (with your name or copy of email confirmation) at reception.

Please note that anything you hand in for sale MUST be items of current uniform, in excellent condition with no stains or damage. Items in unsaleable condition, will be disposed of. We cannot sell socks, tights and shoes. Other T&C’s apply and are included in the registration form.
WGHS Parents Forum retains 35% of the price of any items sold and you will receive payment for the remainder direct to your bank account (bank details to be provided on the hand-in form) when an item is sold. The reference is ‘WGHS Second Hand’. Sale prices are approximately 50% of the retail price. The 35% retained by the Forum is placed in the Parents Forum Welfare Fund which supports students who need financial help. Alternatively, you are welcome to donate your items, in which case the Parents Forum Welfare Fund will retain the full amount.

Y9 and 10 Students finish early this Thursday.
On the afternoon of Thursday, 21 November, there will be a PPTA Paid Union Meeting for teachers. As a result, Year 9 and 10 students will finish at 12:30 pm, and no classes will run for them in the afternoon.
Students in Years 11, 12, and 13 sitting NCEA exams will not be affected. Exams will continue as scheduled.
If you wish your child to be supervised at school on that afternoon, please contact the school so that arrangements can be made.
Library : Open from 8:00-5:00. All students on study leave can study in the library including. Y9s. The library is a silent study zone from Tuesday, 5 Nov to Thursday, 29 Nov.
