Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive training program to enhance players’ technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical fitness.
• Create a positive and motivating team environment that fosters growth, sportsmanship, and camaraderie.
• Provide individualised coaching and mentoring to players, identifying their strengths and areas for improvement. Strategise game plans, presses and formations.
• Implement tactical decisions during matches to maximise team performance and achieve positive results.
• Collaborate with pathway coaches (to develop and execute a successful programme)
• Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in hockey coaching through continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements

• Extensive experience coaching hockey at a high level, preferably with premier or professional teams. Strong knowledge of the game, including tactical strategies, training methodologies, and player development.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills to effectively motivate and inspire players. Ability to work under pressure, make quick decisions, and adapt strategies during intense game situations.
• Proven track record of success in developing players and achieving positive team results. Possession of relevant coaching certifications and qualifications.
