Westlake Girls encourages enthusiastic volleyballers to try the beach version if they can. The main competitions for Beach Volleyball are the New Zealand Secondary Schools Championship for Years 11-13 in early February, and the Auckland Secondary School Champs are held in early December. Juniors are also encouraged to register for the North Island Secondary Schools Champs in November.

TRAINING:

North Harbour Beach Volleyball Centre in Mairangi Bay offers students the opportunity to learn the game and then excel at it. It is played every Tuesday and Thursday. Check the link below for more information.

New Zealand Secondary Schools Beach Volleyball Championship – 7-9 February 2025 (Mt Maunganui, Tauranga)
Junior North Island Secondary School Championship – 22 November 2025 (Auckland or Tauranga TBC)
Beach Volleyball Centre – TBC
Auckland Junior and Senior Championship – TBC (December) NB: Students will require parental supervision at these events.

2025 JUNIOR BEACH VOLLEYBALL

Westlake Girls encourages enthusiastic volleyballers to try the beach version if they can. Students play in pairs at the Junior North Island Champs in November and the Auckland Secondary School Champs in early December. Once students reach Year 11, they are eligible to compete at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Championship in Mt Maunganui.

Harbour Beach Volleyball Centre in Mairangi Bay offers students the opportunity to learn the game and then excel at it. It is played every Tuesday and Thursday starting in then again in Term 4. Students need to register independently. Link: https://shorturl.at/einoR
