For Year 9 students starting Westlake in 2025, we recommend purchasing stationery only for her core subjects – English, Maths, Science, Social Studies and PE/Health. The lists of items are to the right. On your daughter’s first day (Wednesday 29 January 2025), she will receive her timetable and her option subject choices will be confirmed. Stationery for these subjects can then be purchased.
As a school, we encourage parents to purchase your 2024 stationery from Stationery City. It’s located just down the road from school on Porana Road opposite Pak ‘n Save, and every purchase goes into a prize draw. What’s more, WGHS receives a rebate on every purchase made – so you are helping the school.
Also, there’s free delivery if you purchase online, or if you shop instore a staff member (equipped with your Year Level List) will be able to help you find everything you need.

Y9 and 10 Students finish early this Thursday.
On the afternoon of Thursday, 21 November, there will be a PPTA Paid Union Meeting for teachers. As a result, Year 9 and 10 students will finish at 12:30 pm, and no classes will run for them in the afternoon.
Students in Years 11, 12, and 13 sitting NCEA exams will not be affected. Exams will continue as scheduled.
If you wish your child to be supervised at school on that afternoon, please contact the school so that arrangements can be made.
Library : Open from 8:00-5:00. All students on study leave can study in the library including. Y9s. The library is a silent study zone from Tuesday, 5 Nov to Thursday, 29 Nov.
