Principal’s Welcome

Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to Westlake Girls High School, where your daughter’s well-being is our priority. We offer a holistic learning approach, valuing both academic and social experiences.

We are immensely proud of our inclusive and kind school community.

High school is a pivotal time. We guide our students from childhood to young adulthood by fostering a love for learning and helping them to become confident and optimistic about their futures. We understand that just as it takes a village to help raise a child, it takes a special high school community to help raise a resilient and optimistic young adult!

As an all-girls school, we provide unique and significant advantages. Research shows definitively that female students thrive and gain confidence in single-sex environments. Our supportive community encourages students to explore their strengths and passions through diverse opportunities in and out of the classroom.

We embrace STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) and excel in sports and music. Our exceptional academic achievements in NCEA and University Entrance make us one of NZ’s leading public girls’ schools.

Westlake’s alumnae include successful women in many fields, from boardrooms to international sports and performing arts. Each year, our graduates earn scholarships to prestigious universities worldwide.

We invite you to explore our website, where you can find more detailed information about our curriculum, extracurricular activities, and history.

We look forward to welcoming your daughter to our school and watching her flourish.
