Orienteering is an exciting fitness sport that combines physical activity with mental challenges, offering lifelong enjoyment. It develops essential skills such as navigation, problem-solving, and decision-making, as participants work to locate controls and complete courses efficiently.

At school, orienteering is primarily offered in Terms 1 and 2 through one-day events, including the popular North Harbour Zones Sprint Series. This series takes place at various Shore venues, culminating in a Sprint Final where the highest-placed runners compete for the top honours.

In Term 2, students can expand their skills by exploring different formats beyond the Sprint Series, such as Long Course, Relay, and Rogaine competitions, each providing unique challenges and opportunities for growth.
