REGISTRATIONS CLOSE: FRIDAY 31 JANUARY 2025

Westlake Girls became the top girls’ sailing school in Australasia after finishing top of  Girls’ Division at the 2023 Interdominion Regatta in Sydney. They then reclaimed the title in 2024 in Auckland. Westlake Girls sailing continues to expand with stellar sailors leading the team to their third consecutive National Team Racing Championship as well as the Girls NZ Keelboat title. The year begins with an Induction Session early in Term 1 at the Milford Cruising Club before regattas begin in March.

2025 CALENDAR

Induction Day – Monday, 3 February from 4pm – 7pm at Milford Cruising Club
Auckland Secondary School Fleet Racing Regatta (Students sail their own boats) – 14 March 2025 (Wakatere Boating Club).
National Secondary School Keelboat Championship (5 sailors selected) – 14 – 16 March 2025 (RNZYS).
Auckland Secondary School Team Sailing Championship (8 sailors selected) – 26 – 28 March 2025 TBC (RAYC).
NZ Secondary School Team Sailing National Championship – 21-26 April 2025 (New Plymouth YC).

TRAINING & TRIALS:

Training dates – February-March (Specific Dates TBC)
Trials will be held during training and all sailors will be notified about the process.

FEES:

Auckland Teams Racing Champs – $90
Auckland Fleet Racing Regatta – $50
National Secondary Schools Keel boat Harken Cup – $90
NZ Secondary Schools Team Racing Champs -TBC- $1000
